Thomas Mittendorf

Thomas Mittendorf, MBA, PhD is a health economist by training and Managing Director as well as co-founder of herescon gmbh, a research and consulting company specializing in health economic evaluation studies, outcomes research, and health technology assessment. In addition he also has a position as Adjunct Professor teaching health economics and health system research at the Center for Health Economics at the Leibniz University of Hannover, Germany. His particular interest in recent years has been on health policy and regulatory issues as well as health economic research in different diseases and technologies, including vaccination, oncology, gastroenterology and infectious diseases. A special focus has been on inflammatory diseases leading to a substantial number of publications in that area. Dr. Mittendorf has a track record of over 100 publications in all related fields of health economics with a recent focus on scientific health economic guidelines. Dr. Mittendorf currently is the Editor-in-Chief of ISPOR CONNECTIONS and also a member of other editorial boards as well as a regular reviewer for multiple publications.
